So last weekend my BFFWILLAS (best friend forever who i love like a sister) came up from Florida to spend the weekend with me. I anticipated Kaitlyn coming over for the past three months and then the day was finally here. Kaitlyn arrived a little later than expected because her parents had to drop off other kids at friends homes here. So when she got here we hugged on another like long lost friends! We were both very excited and happy to see one another. I showed her my room in the den and we talked for a while before we went to the kitchen and made BLTs for dinner. We took pictures of ourselves together on my digital camera and we played basketball together on the driveway. We played around the world B-ball and we both won so it was a tie! LOL Then we played a game we had made up together a couple summers before she had moved. We don't have a real name for it but I live in a court and in the center of the court is a little island of grass with a tall maple tree in the center. We use these scoopy like toys to throw a tennis ball OVER the tall maple tree but we never count points because we just do it for fun. Fortunately we have never accidentally had the ball land on someones car! LOL After that we went and sat on the hammock together and talked about things that have been going on since she moved to FL nearly a year ago. We moved to sit on my three layer deck when mosquito's tried to get at us. Then we went inside, I showered while she changed into her PJ's and we set up a sleeping area right in front of our big screen TV. We watched the original movie of THE MUMMY! It was actually really good! We totally weren't scared but it was fun to watch. We ate popcorn and dark chocolate raisenets while we watched the movie. Then my family went upstairs to their beds while Kaitlyn and I tried to find something on TV to watch. We watched a couple episodes of Home Improvement and then we watch Evan Almighty which started at 1am. Kaitlyn fell asleep a little before 2am and I could barely keep my eyes open! LOL So I turned off the TV and we both slept pretty well. I got up at like 4am to go to the bathroom because I had drank LOTS of water on Saturday but that wasn't so bad because I fell back asleep almost as my head hit the pillow. My mom came downstairs with the baby to tell us it was 8:30am and Kaitlyn's parents were coming to take us to church in 30 minutes!!! While I got dressed into my skirt and blouse, Kaitlyn showered really fast, and my mom was upstairs making blueberry pancakes for us (isn't that so sweet!). We finished eating and getting our purses ready just minutes before her parents arrived. My family went to the 11am service. So we got to the church a few minutes early which was what we had planned. Sunday morning was actually really rainy. It got nice out after church though. We went to a fancy Italian restaurant after church and my mom met us there. My dad stayed home because the baby was sleeping and my siblings stayed home so they could play. After lunch, we all went back to my house and we took lots of pictures, Kaitlyn and I drew silhouettes of one another, she helped me pick out the scrap booking paper to use for our pages and we talked much more. At 4pm, Kaitlyn's family had to go see more friends before they had to go up north to see even more friends and family. I had a wonderful time with Kaitlyn and was terribly sad to see her go again. It was hard to think that I won't see her again for another 365 days but that is life for you. We said our sad goodbyes and waved until we were out of one another's sight. I had lots of pictures and memories to save in my scrapbook so I will never forget this weekend. After she left, we all had to go shopping and when we got back we all went to bed because we were TIRED! That was my weekend!
Until next post,
