HAPPY NEW YEAR (and funnies)! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I hope you all enjoyed a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and in just a few hours it will be the NEW YEAR!!! To celebrate this grand event I am going to post some funny sayings below but first I have a question to ask my readers. I recently wrote a report on Purity and was wondering if you all would like to read it. I will make a poll and once I get five votes then I will decide. Now here are the funnies, enjoy and HAPPY NEW YEAR! ! ! ! :

It's raining, it must be the weekend.

Windows: Just another pane.

When in doubt, mumble.

They say an elephant never forgets, but what's he got to remember?!?

The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds, and the pessimist* fears that is true.
(optimist is someone who always thinks on the bright side and a pessimist is the opposite).

Nothing is ever so bad that it can't get worse.

Disinformation is not as good as datinformation. LOL

I pray you all have a safe NEW YEAR with many blessings to look forward too!

Answer of how many seconds!

Now I recieved 5 posts concerning how long it took me to rollerblade around my whole court. The answer to mostly Lizzy's questioning is................. : 34 seconds! Yeah... I nearly killed myself more than once doing that. But if you knew me you could find a couple reasons for my speed. LOL

Social Butterfly
Hey there readers,

You know what a touching memory moment is like? I experienced one last night when my mom was going through our old devotional book and found an invitation my best friend had made for me 7 years ago when we were doing a homeschool class together. It was so sweet to find that and read it and enjoy the picture she had drawn on her own of the both of us together. I will treasure it forever as a sweet memory. I am glad to say that I haven't forgotten that party. It was a lot of fun. If you read this then thanks for everything Fayleke!

Happy,

Hey everyone,
Do you like snow??? I do!!! Although I very strongly dislike ice!!! Can you guess what happened when I took out the trash this morning?!? I slipped on a rather large circle of ice and fell on my left leg (luckily I didn't hit my head!)! I am fine now but gosh it hurt for the first half hour. Actually if you had been around when I was 8 and 9 you would have seen me have tons of unplanned landings when I was learning how to Roller Blade (now that is my favorite thing to do from Spring to the end of Fall! I even did it during Winter last year!) I can do spins, jumps, go backwards down then driveway then spin around and jump down the curb! That is my favorite trick. I can do crossovers when turning, last second spin stops, and lots of other fun stuff. Also I live in a court so we have a little island of grass in the center. Well two Summers ago, I had my friend time how long it took me to start at the opening of the court, go all the way down and around the circle of grass, and all the way back. Guess how many SECONDS it took me!!! Whoever guesses the closest WINS!!! Put your guess in your comment on THIS POST and I will let you know who was the closest after everyone has given me there answer.

Good Luck and have fun!

I pray you all are well,

If there is anything big that happened in your life let me know (only positive please). Some of you may of never seen a blog before but I never knew what a blog was until four months ago when my friend showed me her's and helped me make mine. Aren't you glad she helped me?!? LOL If you have a prayer request leave a commment and I will be sure to add it to my prayer list.

Hey everybody!
I am sorry that I haven't posted in a while but lots of various things have been keeping my whole family rather busy! LOL I am sure you all know what that is like. Being homeschooled does help though. I am happy to say that I should be able to finish my story (in another post called 'Last Dragon of Argon') in approximately less than three months. I am going to be very busy with after schoolwork projects and babysitting so I don't get to type in as often as I would like too. Or I could always get rid of my blog and email... JUST KIDDING! I would never do that unless I wanted to which I don't think I ever will. If this is the first post of mine that you are reading, then I would suggest you read the very first and second posts that I have written so you will know more of what I am talking about. Also if you ever have a prayer request, question, or anything along those lines, feel free to leave a comment (but nothing foolish). I hope to hear from some of you soon.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! ! !

Hey there everyone,
With Thanksgiving being here tomorow, we did a super fall cleaning in my house today. My closet, drawers, and room have all been organized by ME! Well what are YOU doing for THANKSGIVING??? And are you as crazy as me to go to the Black Friday sales?!? I am going to bed extra early tomorow night so I won't be drowsy and fall asleep while shopping (although since shopping is my best subject I will probably stay awake... he he he). Anyways, we are just having our grandparents over so it will be a nice dinner. Tell me what you do every year? Is it a tradition or something new each time???

Favorite Jokes (from Focus on the Family mags)

These are really good jokes to share with the whole family!

Oh, Yummy
A young pastor was making his first visit to the home of an elderly woman who was ill. As they chatted, he nibbled on the peanuts that were in a dish on her bedside table. When he got up to leave, he said, "Oh, I'm so sorry, I've eaten all your peanuts."
"That's OK," she replied, "I can't eat them anyway, and I'd already sucked all the chocolate off before you had come."

Buoyant Belief
When a pastor visited a small congregation, two local pastors treated him to an afternoon of fishing. After they were in the boat about half-hour, the first pastor said, "I forgot my favorite lure in the truck. I'll be right back." He jumped out and walked on the water to the shore. He retrieved his lure and calmly walked on the water back to the boat. The visiting pastor was amazed! A little while later, the second pastor said he needed to contact his office, but his cell phone was in the truck. He, too, jumped out of the boat, walked on the water to the shore, made his call, and retuned the same way.
At this point, the visiting pastor thought he should demonstrate the same kind of great faith, so he jumped out of the boat but immediately sank.
The two local pastors looked and each other and said, "Should we tell him where the stumps are?"

Casket Caper
Three friends were talking about how they wanted to be remembered and what friends might say when taking a last look at them in their coffins.
Max said, "I would like them to say I was a wonderful husband, a spiritual leader, and a family man.
Zachary said, "I would like them to say that I was a wonderful teacher and servant of God and that I made a huge difference in people's lives."
Don said, "I would like them to say, 'Look! He's moving! ! !' "

Hope you all had a nice long laugh,
SB

Please Pray

Dear fellow blog readers,
Please pray for me. I am dealing with a icky cough right now and I can't stand being sick! : (
Its not that serious but its bad enough to the point of making my whole body shake with each cough. Also pray nobody I come in contact with will catch what I have. I have had it for several days now so technically, it is no longer contagious. (YEA!!!)

Praying for my readers,

Introduction to my story! (I hope, er know you will enjoy!)

The Last Dragon of Argon

~ Introduction ~

King Bradaken a man in his late twenties with dark chocolate brown hair with eyes that matched so well and his wife Queen Aria a young woman in her mid twenties with shoulder length brunette hair and dark green eyes with there newborn son Prince Artix, who had a head full of dark hair with piercing blue eyes, and the prince’s beloved nanny Aquella Brock a young nanny with medium blonde hair and dark brown eyes (who tended him so well) were traveling home from a meeting with Braymer’s King Ferrell.
It was May 21, 1629 at about ten-thirty at night and they were almost back to their home, a castle in Argon.
The driver, Cyrus had been the stagecoach driver for thirty years serving King Bradaken’s father before his unexpected death of a heart attack nine years back. He was getting quite tired for a fifty-two year old man which was dangerous considering the horses harnessed to the stagecoach had been broken just a week ago and still had a bit of wild in them.
Queen Aria commented, “It is getting late, why are we not home yet? We had left several nights ago.”
Her husband smiled and reassured her, “I am sure we are almost there. Look out your door. Can’t you see the castle lights?”
She nodded, “Yes, I see.”
“I am sure Artix will continue sleeping after I put him to bed Queen Aria. I can assure you haven’t any need to worry.”
Aria smiled at Aquella and agreed, “He is a hard sleeper. I am sure you will do just fine with him. Tell me Aquella how old are you now?”
“Almost twenty-two my queen.”
“Well you are very mature for your age. We are proud to have you as our son’s nanny. You are good to him as if he is your own. If anything was ever to happen to us I would rest in peace knowing he is in your care.”
Aquella seemed taken aback by such a compliment from the queen. “Why… why thank you Queen Aria.”
“That goes for me too,” added King Bradaken smiling.

All of the sudden they heard the dreaded call of a Dark Malth to the three moons above Ancient World and almost immediately the horses started bolting down the road! Both women screamed and King Bradaken tried to see what was happening. They all could hear Cyrus shouting for the horses to slow down but they didn’t obey. Prince Artix woke and started to cry in his nannies arms. Aria’s face turned pale as she screamed as the coach jolted, “My baby! Don’t let my baby die!”
Bradaken held his wife and shouted, “Cyrus, what is going on?”
When Cyrus didn’t answer he looked out the door and saw that Cyrus was no where in sight. “My word he has fallen and the horses are going crazy!”
Aquella was terrified and didn’t know what to do. She shouted, “What should I do with Prince Artix?!?”
Aria screamed and gripped onto the door of the stage coach.
“Jump out Aquella! It’s the only way any of us can survive. Jump out with Artix and I will get Aria to follow.”
Aquella braced herself with the baby in her arms. She jumped hearing the mother’s screams behind her and landed in a pasture tumbling with the baby close to her. She tried to open her eyes but everything went dark.

~
Aquella woke to find herself being licked by the tongue of a friendly shepherd’s dog. The scene around her was of a field, sheep, and many different wild flowers. Not far from her was a small creak which she thought would be a good place to clean herself up.
She tried to remember why she was in the grass and where she was but everything seemed hazy and dark. ‘It must be early in the morning.’
She started to remember bits and pieces at a time. ‘A jump, yes I had jumped out of something… but what and better yet, why?’
Just then she heard something, at first it was faint but then she could hear the clear sound of a baby crying.
Suddenly, the horrendous thoughts of the other night swept back to her mind and she got to her feet and ran towards the sound. She found the baby, Prince Artix, weeping in a small patch of crabgrass. She picked him up and looked around while she tried to console the boy. “Shhhhh… there there, everything is going to be just fine. Shhhhhh…”
The first thing that came to her mind was to find the king and queen.
“King Bradaken! Queen Aria! Where are you?”
A terrible thought came to mind, ‘What if they are injured or worse dead? Oh someone help me!’
Aquella started up the hill to where the coach had once driven.
Once at the top she found the day old tracks and followed them. They led her to the coach turned upside down about 7 yards from the path. The horses were gone and she didn’t see Cyrus anywhere.
She set down Prince Artix on a small blanket and walked up to the coach door. She tried to pull it open and after several unsuccessful pulls she got it.
She peeked inside to see the bodies of the oh so beloved king and queen. She hopped inside and shook the king. He didn’t respond so she checked his pulse. ‘Please don’t be dead please!’ She felt for his wrist and put her fingers over it to feel nothing.
“No! Aria, please be alive!” She checked her pulse and felt a faint little beat.
‘Thank goodness, she is breathing’. Aria slowly opened her eyes, her purple dress looked like a dark royal purple in the slight darkness of early dawn.
She smiled at Aquella noticing on her head some faint bruises and whispered, “Aquella, please take care of my baby boy. Keep him safe until he is old enough to take the crown. He must not know who he really is until… until…”
“Until what my queen!”
“Until he is of the age to take the crown. His Uncle Uldor will take the thrown and make Argon a dark place but, if Artix lives to take the thrown and overthrow his twisted uncle then he can save us. He is to find the last dragon of Argon.”
“Here Aria, let me help you out. I think you can make it.”
“No! Don’t put your life at risk. I shall die here by my husband. If God is willing I may live, if not, I will perish.”
“But my queen, why do you choose to stay here?”
“Even if I choose to live, I couldn’t be queen any longer. You know that Uldor will take over. He will do whatever he can to be sure I stay out of his way. It is better if I am not alive and Artix grows up to rule. Run now before someone comes. This road may get busier as the day goes along. Someone will find us sometime.”

Aquella was very disturbed about leaving the queen but she knew she must obey.
‘Also what was Queen Aria talking about dragons for…?’
All she now knew was she must keep Prince Artix a secret or both of their lives will be at great risk.

Hello everybody!
I know I haven't posted in a while and I apologize. : ) I have been really busy with school. Oh but I have some good news. I bought a beautiful silky yellow dress that I am gonna wear to a Masqueade Ball! I am so excited to attend. I am going with a good friend of mine and she already has a dress from last year. I just got mine yesterday for the best deal EVER! I was soooo happy that I praised God! I have never been to a ball before but my friend has. She is just as excited as I am. I haven't seen her dress yet but I will soon enough.
Well besides the ball I am going to a couple parties (not for halloween though), but they will still be lots of fun.
Here is a question for all my readers: What is your favorite subject in homeschool/school and why? Next time you make a comment whether now or later tell me your answer. I would love to hear from you. After I have gotten two answers I will tell you mine and why as well.

More about SB

Hey Everyone,
You know a bit about me but did you know that I knit? I have made a purse, wristband, working on a winter hat, belts, etc... Its a lot of fun.
I also sew. I sewed my own quilt. Maybe I will post a picture of it for you all to see. It is a big project when you take on a twin size quilt! It took almost a year to complete! I could have gotten it done much sooner but with school and all its difficult to squeeze extra time in.
I not only sew quilts, but I also make bags. I have made and decorated more than a dozen jean bags. I make them out of my mom's old jeans and sometimes I buy jeans for boys on sale real cheap and use them for making more bags (sorry boys) LOL! I just made a messenger bag yesterday and my friend came over and I helped her make one too. I like to be creative!
I know I told you what instruments I play but I didn't tell you what music. On Piano (which actually I only have a Casio Keyboard) I love playing Carol of the Bells! That is my FAVORITE song to play. Besides that I play Fur Elise, Starlight Waltz, Scene from Swan Lake, Chopsticks (a very fun song), and lots of others similar to those. I am currently trying to tackle the Pink Panther theme song! That is sooooo tricky! I read music quite well and can tell if I am playing something wrong. I teach myself music too. Like Amazing Grace, Twinkle Little Star, Jingle Bells, and Happy Birthday to you. I wish I could get music sheets for songs like A Thousand Miles, My Heart Will Go On, Getting Into You, and other songs I enjoy listening to.
Well I got to go now but I will be back!

Until Later,
SB

Get to Know ME, Social Butterfly

Hi,
I am Social Butterfly. I am homeschooled by my wonderfully blessed parents. I am a Christian and attend a Bible study with my mom on Truth and Philosophy. God's word is so filled with information that is key to life. Everyone should be reading the Bible! I have lots of homeschooling friends! I love my family so much. God has blessed us in so many ways I could never count them all.
I have been a Piano player for 6 years but I have been doing really good the past 3 years. I don't practice half as much as I would like to but sometimes you got to take what God gives you.
I also play Clarinet but I just started a bit over a month ago. I am NOT squeaky as some people believe (you know who you are) so do not be afraid! LOL
My favorite sports to play are Soccer and Basketball, although I must say I am probably a bit better at Soccer. I am defense on my team and I clash with people quite often (luckily most times I get the ball away from them : )
I also rollerblade a lot. I can do lots of jumps, turn backwards and forwards (both are tricky at first) and the coolest thing is I can rollerblade backwards anywhere I want without falling! I haven't fallen and actually gotten injured from it on my blades in two years! I know, I'm good. LOL My speed on blades is quite fast. I am not sure what my top speed is but I will let you know if I ever find out. Its probably only a few miles an hour but that is a lot on blades.
I also am writing a story. I may post it on my blog once it is finished but that is a while from now. I am only a third way done with writing my book. I hope to have it published! Wouldn't that be exciting!
Well I will write more later,
Social Butterfly
